Can the forum permissions be changed so that we can edit our own posts? It would be nice if I could remove accidental emoticons, etc.

outGreeting.fireOutPin("" + name + " says, Hello World";);

Actually you can always edit your post, which is reply to 'topic', but the topic is not editable itself because other users are replying to it, and editing of topic can acidentaly change the meaning of it and the replyes will become wrong,

"topic" in a forum can edit only moderator of "forum" or admin

it is build in security and privacy encuring mechanizm, which present in most opensource "form" products
